Surf.Beach.Storm.Chillax '08/26/07
(Visited 2085 times)We went to Pandaquit, Zambales last stormy weekend. The typhoon didn’t stop us from going to the beach because we were too eager to watch the surfing competition.
‘Twas a long road trip that night as we passed by flooded areas and traffic jam up North. But we didn’t give up. Marc was too determined and even willing to risk Sophie (his car) to dive into flood haha… We continued our long journey just to reach our destination.
We finally reached Pandaquit safely. Here are some photos of the surfers and boogie-board-wannabe. Enjoy!

Good Dive, Bad Dive '06/26/07
(Visited 1684 times)What is a good racing dive? Aside from playing ice hockey, I was also a competitive swimmer back in the days. I started swimming when I was 12 years old. I joined the Swim Team in high school and college. I was a member of AAPS (Athletics Association for Private Schools) and won silver and bronze medals for freestyle and backstroke events. I didn’t win any gold (which I really got frustrated) because I thought it has something to do with my height haha… I had extensive practices, 5 times a week between 5am to 7am. I really enjoyed the Swim Meets and of course my dark, toned body.
Anyways, what is a good dive again? Leap up and out, then enter the water without a splash for a perfect racing dive. Here are the steps:

World Ice Hockey 5’s 2007 is now over '06/20/07
(Visited 2340 times)Manila Ice Vixens didn’t win the World Ice Hockey 5’s 2007 this year, but we went home with pride. Considering that this was MIV’s first international competition, a lot of teams told us we did pretty well and that made us feel really good. We really had fun in HK. We made friends with almost all of the Women’s team like Japan Red Bullets, Malaysian Slayers, Macau Mystiks, Wndigos, Macau Asian All-Stars (Macau and Singapore) and HK WIHO Selects also with some other teams from International A, B and Asian A and B.

Skating and Photo Ops in MOA '05/24/07
(Visited 2436 times)Since our tourney in HK is fast approaching, we’ve decided to practice skating on an Olympic-size skating rink. I know that the team has been training really hard for the past 7 months in Megamall skating rink, but that’s not enough. We really need to train in MOA skating rink because it is the 1st Olympic-size skating rink in Asia and it’ll be an advantage for us.
