Pond’s Taste of Beauty at Taste Asia '07/24/08
(Visited 29 times)I invited my hockey friends at the Pond’s Taste of Beauty Event last July 5. I even won the “most number of invited friends”. We had our 10 minutes of fame on stage when the hosts invited us over to claim our prize. Anyhow, they gave me a Pond’s Age Miracle Beauty Package worth probably more than P4,000. And my team mates got a Pond’s gift as well.

I love the setup by the way. Red carpet, nice drapes and tent setup, cool crowd, free flowing of red and white wine, food and drinks. My team mates were really impressed. Anyhow, we also had the chance to meet Lala. She’s half Filipino and half Indonesian singer-guitarist.

Buhay Coke Event @ Taste Asia '07/4/08
(Visited 181 times)Here are some pictures from the Buhay Coke ng Bloggers Event by SM Hypermart at Taste Asia, Mall of Asia last June 27. The party was a huge success and it was nice to see old and new bloggers. Some were dressed as angels and others as devils, but most people wore black than white and red. Food was great, free flowing Coke Zero, H2O and San Miguel beer. Also, I brought home 1 case of Coke Zero.

2008 Mega Ice 5’s HK Tourney '05/16/08
(Visited 559 times)The tournament was held at Mega Ice, Megabox in Hong Kong last May 6 to 10. We arrived in HK safely last May 4 (two days before the tourney), checked in at Regal Oriental Hotel, grabbed food, then took a nap because we were all exhausted from the trip.

Day 2, we went to Shenzhen China to go shopping. Ended up being lost and cannot find Dongmen Road. Good thing, we bumped at 2 Filipinas and helped us go to Dongmen. The place really is a shopping haven. After shopping, we couldn’t get out of Dongmen because it was raining hard and we couldn’t find a cab. We were stranded for 2 hours and we were lost again. ‘Twas like Amazing Race between 2 teams. Team 1 composed of Kae, Ace and Anne. Then team 2 composed of Jho, Chriska and me. We didn’t get to see them there, we tried to call them but to no reply. But we know they were ahead of us. Anyhow, we asked around but no one understands or speaks English. I asked this guy who speaks a little English but still couldn’t help us. Good thing, a girl heard us talking and she pointed us to the right direction. We took the train instead which connected us to HK terminal. We reached the pit stop first (hotel). Team 1 were more than an hour behind us haha.. ‘Twas a good race and an adventure we’ll never forget.

Day 3, our first game with WIHO. We didn’t win 5-0, but as per Kirsten, we really improved a lot and played well.

Day 4, 2nd game with Japan. We lost again 9-1 but our team did really well compared to last year 16-0. Well of course, we all know that Japan is a strong team but we did our best and it was a fair game.

A Hockey Visitor from Switzerland '02/3/08
(Visited 1022 times)A good friend, Jamil Mokhtar, from Switzerland visited the country last January for a three-week work plus leisure trip (on the side). We met him from our previous hockey tourney in Hong Kong last June 2007. He played for EHC Winterthur Team and Malaysian Team during the World Ice Hockey 5’s tournament. He is, by the way, half Malaysian and half Swiss. Jamil plays ice hockey for merely 19 years and he plays Forward/Offense. Also, he’s into snowboarding.
Anyhow, thanks for visiting! Next time you come back, bring your gear and lets play hockey! ![]()

Motorola RAZR 2 Event '08/26/07
(Visited 1318 times)Marc and I were supposed to go to Metrowalk to meet up with Abe, Gail, Marc V., and some other bloggers to chill. But he already went there the other night. So we thought of changing venue instead. As we drove along Julia Vargas and was looking for a new place to hang out, I remembered Jayvee invited us last Taste Asia event to party with them the next day at Temple in Greenbelt 2 for a Motorola RAZR 2 event. So, we went there instead. We missed the dinner party at Mezze because we came in late, so we just had a few drinks there and chilled with Sasha, Rico, Jayvee and his friend, Anna. Then we headed off at Temple to party at the VIP booth. It was insane! We all had fun (I think) hehe.. Who wouldn’t right? With all those free-flowing-booze and food (thanks to Ogilvy.com). I also got a freebie from Motorola woohoo…
Pics, pics and more pics! With Marc, Abe, Jayvee, Gail, Marc V., Juned, Jomar, Mike, and Ogilvy peeps.

Taste Asia Part 2
(Visited 1573 times)The first Taste Asia blogger food fest was a success. This time, Taste Asia Part 2 was bigger, twice the fun, double the amount of food served, new booze, fashionistas everywhere, more sponsors, and more than 400 people came (old and new faces).
Of course thanks to SM Hypermart for hosting the event. Also, my favorite party booth… The Cliquebooth was there to lighten up the camwhores (including me) haha.

Steve Aoki @ Embassy '08/12/07
(Visited 1196 times)It was raining really hard last Wednesday night and I was kinda lazy to go out. My friends didn’t want to cancel our night out, so we pushed through with the Superklasse @ Embassy with Steve Aoki event. Good thing we went there to experience DJ Steve Aoki’s party scene. ‘Twas an awesome and insanely-cool night!! The club was jam packed with party peeps and celebrities. My friends Au and Louann, also with hockey buddies Julian from the US and James from Germany really enjoyed the party.
Anyhow, here are some pics from the event. Enjoy!

World Ice Hockey 5’s 2007 is now over '06/20/07
(Visited 2159 times)Manila Ice Vixens didn’t win the World Ice Hockey 5’s 2007 this year, but we went home with pride. Considering that this was MIV’s first international competition, a lot of teams told us we did pretty well and that made us feel really good. We really had fun in HK. We made friends with almost all of the Women’s team like Japan Red Bullets, Malaysian Slayers, Macau Mystiks, Wndigos, Macau Asian All-Stars (Macau and Singapore) and HK WIHO Selects also with some other teams from International A, B and Asian A and B.
