Upcoming World Ice Hockey 5’s '12/11/06

After months of waiting for the announcement from the organizers of World Ice Hockey 5’s 2007 as to when and where it’ll be held, finally, the long wait is over. The event will be on June 13 to 17, 2007 in Kowloon Bay, HK and we’re really excited to represent our country. Our team, Manila Ice Vixens, will join the womens division and this will be the first time that the Women’s Ice Hockey Association of the Philippines to compete in an International Tourney.
We started practicing for this tourney a couple of months now and I’m proud to say that we’re doing better and better each week. The last Hockey 5’s was held in KL, Malaysia and it was a blast. The Asian Stars team (HK, Manila and Macau combined players) placed 3rd overall. This time, the hockey girls from the Philippines will rock the ice in 2007. Hopefully, the Philippines will make the country proud like what Manny Pacquiao did.
