Our new baby… Sushi Macalua '11/22/08
(Visited 156 times)I’m not really a dog-lover. Actually, I’m scared of dogs. I remembered when I was little, a Japanese Spitz attacked me. I fell on the ground while the dog was on top of me and I was face to face with that dog. Another incident, a dog (I don’t know what breed) bitten me on my right hamstring, but funny thing about that old dog, it doesn’t have teeth anymore. A few years ago, I passed by my Aunt’s house (she’s a Veterinarian). I didn’t know that her dogs were on the loose. A big Dalmatian, 2 Japanese Spitz, and 3 more dogs were following me. I walked briskly because they were already growling. And then, I ran! The Dalmatian and other dogs only barked, but one Japanese Spitz ran after me and bitten me on my left leg. It punctured my jean through my leg. It was horrible. Then just last year, a huge Labrador Retriever also attacked me. Bitten my jacket that I was carrying. That Lab had bitten my dad badly this year at his stomach and ankle. My dad had 70 total anti rabies injections. Every time I see a dog, big or little ones, they look at me and growl. Even tamed toy dogs, it seemed like they don’t want me.
Anyhow, those were the reasons why I don’t like dogs. I got traumatized. Yesterday, we went at this pet shop in Tiendesitas. At first, I was scared to get in. Then, I saw this little colorful poodle. I tried to carry it. She’s so nice. It didn’t growl at all. Then I started carrying several small dogs. My fear of dogs just vanished.
Then I carried this 7-month teacup Yorkshire Terrier. She is sweet and adorable. After spending some time with her, we finally bought this Yorkie. We named her SUSHI. I easily fell in love with her. I can now imagine myself carrying her around Bonifacio High Street or at Mall of Asia. I think this will be the beginning of our wonderful relationship.
Btw, special thanks to Mae and Mike for the nice pink top they got for Sushi. Will post some pictures soon.
