Hockey Visitors from Canada '11/29/07

I was contacted by Joven from Canada last September through this post. He brought along his wife Anita, who plays with the womens league in Vancouver Canada. They’re both goalies and they wanted to play hockey while in Manila. We met them in Megamall and played scrimmage one Friday hockey night. Unfortunately, Joven didn’t play because I can’t find extra goalie gear for him. Anyways, Anita was awesome! We had fun.

World Hip Hop Championship '11/22/07

I was searching for a Hip Hop choreography on YouTube last night because Marc asked me to help out with his team’s choreography for their Christmas party dance competition two weeks from now. I stumbled upon the Philippine All Stars who won 1st place at the 2006 World Hip Hop Championship.

This year, All Stars from the Philippines placed 3rd, while Kaba Modern (short for KABABAYAN which means fellow Filipino) representing the USA, placed 2nd. Then Eclectik from Trinidad and Tobago placed 1st.

I was inspired to dance again (my last was 2005) when I saw their routine and new moves. And yet I have to learn new style and moves overnight. Impossible! So, I asked my friend to help out and luckily he agreed. I gave him the floor instead because I have ice hockey games on weekends and I cannot skip games because 3 plays are very crucial. But I’ll definitely support Marc’s team and join them in dancing and learn new steps. That will keep me on my dancing shoes again.

When You Know by Shawn Colvin '11/9/07

This song is from the movie “Serendipity” starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. I just love the melody and the lyrics of the song (very heartwarming). It’s also a sweet, pleasant and one of the most romantic film I’ve seen (aside from Notting Hill) full of coincidences and mishaps, but in the end it will make you smile. Just want to share it with you all. Hope you like it!
