I was really surprised upon reading this letter…

To Sharmskee & the Manila Ice Vixens ice hockey organization –

Dear Ladies,
Very briefly –

Your “puckin’ passion” and sincerity is VERY winning indeed!

Our company, AWSM Endeavors, Ltd.* (”AWSM”), which specializes in international cultural exchange/entertainment/event-building, especially through the games of ice and ‘inline’ hockey, might be interested in becoming a “title” Ice Vixens Corporate Sponsor. AWSM would be willing to start with an initial sponsorship of $10,000 U.S. Dollars (USD = 490,614.62 PHP today!),PLUS a 30-set, FULL “Pro” kitting (”custom” team pants, gloves, helmets, sticks, bags, “Home” & “Away” game jerseys & socks, etc.) of the Manila Ice Vixens program based upon the Manila Ice Vixens commitment to travel-to and represent AWSM (and AWSM events) around the world. This would involve at least 2 - 3 international tournament/events per year (at least 1 European and maybe 1 Asian, North American or elsewhere). AWSM would help in fund-raising for traveling to these international events.

We would also be interested in organizing a women’s international “pursed” (MONEY!) tournament/event in the Philippines — one of the VERY FIRST of its kind in the international women’s game (as AWSM is already doing the FIRST-EVER elsewhere!). This tournament/event could be held in Manila (and probably in the Spring, late-April or early-May), wherever and whenever we both feel would be better for such an international event. If we are successful with both our association with the Manila Ice Vixens and in staging a women’s international tournament/event in the Phillipines, we would be willing to further ‘grow’ both our sponsorship,
the event “purse” and the Manila Ice Vixens programs through additional financial commitment, maybe even on an ongoing “annual” basis.

Our telephone contact: I will forward on once we have your direct response via e-mail.

With both the $10,000 USD cash sponsorship and the 30-set equipment donation this “AWESOME” sponsorship package totals well over $35,000 USD (1,717, 151.16 PHP to start!). This is a very serious and sincere inquiry and we would hope that our e-mail, interest and offer will be replied to one way or another.

Looking forward to your reply…

Regards,

Michael A. Kramer
President, AWSM Endeavors, Ltd.

It didn’t end there… more email from Mr. Kramer

Dear Sharmaine –

I really enjoyed your website, by the way!

Thank You for the “AWESOMELY”-quick reply to our interest & offer to help $ponsor, $upport & $upply your Manila Ice Vixens ice hockey program — I must say, your sweetness, sincerity & “Sharm-charm” are certainly VERY winning & convincing for all of us here at AWSM Endeavors, Ltd. (AWSM)!

I would like to reiterate our offer of a $10,000 USD cash $ponsorship, supplemented with an equipment donation of 30 (FULL) sets of player gear/equipment/skates to be utilized, maintained & hopefully enjoyed by the full (& soon to be “fuller”!?) roster of viv-ICE-cious “Ice Vixens” — in return for which AWSM would expect the Manila Ice Vixens to represent AWSM & AWSM events around the world (at least 1 or 2 internationally per year).

AWSM would like to further complement this commitment of $ponsorship & $upport by including
an offer to have our AWSM “Pro-level” player/coaches come to the Philippines at least once a year to run 2 - 3 weeks of “AWSM Master-Class” hockey camps that would be open to ALL hockey players in the Philippines, but FREE to YOUR viv-ICE-cious “Vixens” (I would imagine that at least 1 week would be exclusively “Vixen-camps”).

We are also pleased & excited to hear of your interest & commitment to help make an international tournament/event in Manila a successful reality — I am very sure that with an attractive tournament/event package being put together by everyone that would be logistically involved, we could make the “AWSM ICE VIXENS” (!?) tournament/event “THE” Asian “CAN’T-MISS” event of the women’s international ice hockey calendar!

With the right working relationship/partnership in place, I believe that it is absolutely within reach for the “Ice Vixens” to eventually participate in IIHF & other international championships. As adventurous, experienced & dedicated hockey players ourselves, it is especially warming (& VERY “cool” as well!) for us to know that we would be helping others to achieve their most heartfelt “hockey dreams” & we look forward to starting our “AWESOMELY” AWSM “breakout” on our “breakaway-rush” to a mutually beneficial (& “Vixen-ish”!) “goal” of making the Philippines an Asian hockey powerhouse (with probably the MOST gorgeous group of “hockey players” anywhere & ever!)!

I’m going to be in Europe next week, as well as in late-March & early-April, but I’d like to somehow arrange to come to Manila in the next few months (or so) to first meet you & the “Vixens”, see the ice rink & talk about how we can both move forward with whatever is needed to get things done & make things happen. We will need to talk about equipment ’sizing’ & how to make sure that you can ‘cover’ a full range of players in terms of ages & sizes. We should talk about where & how the $10,000 USD would be spent & how to make sure that we maximize its effect & return in terms of benefits to the “Vixens” program, as well as to AWSM. Ultimately, I believe ALL of whatever we agree upon should be “put-down-in-writing” so boths sides know & can properly perform their “$ponsorship/partnership” obligations, assignments & duties in an expedient, efficient & effective manner. Obviously, you & I can & will maintain e-mail and/or phone contact thoughout.

For now (& until I next hear from you!), let me wish you, your family & ALL the viv-ICE-cious “Vixens” a VERY HAPPY, HEALTHY, HEARTY & HOPEFUL “HOCKEY NEW YEAR!!!” –

Warm, yet “ICY-COOL” regards,

Michael A. Kramer (you can call me “Michael”)
President
AWSM Endeavors, Ltd.

Also this…

Hi, “Sharm” (can I call you this?) –

I’m glad that everytone there is excited & looking forward to our working together in such a good cause — I have a very good feeling, as well as agreat deal of faith that the “Great God of Hockey” has ordained that we should meet!

As I mentioned in my last e-mail, I’m going to be traveling in Europe over the next couple of months. AWSM is putting to gether a very special “aspirational/inspiration” international television program based in the game of ice hockey & we are in the pre-production/logistics stage. It’s an extremely original program concept & maybe as things move a bit further along I can tell you a little more about it once as we feel more comfortable, relaxed & reassured with each other.

In the meantime, think of some of the answers & basics in terms of what & how AWSM’s $ponshorship/equipment offer would be BEST fulfilled (how will you spend $ponsorship monies; is there a way to use it as ’seed’ money to generate even more cash $upport; number of each ’size’ range in virtually ALL of the gear; R & L curves; are skates needed; is any goaltending gear needed, etc.). —

I think that getting together with your most responsible, reliable & respected team members to (”democratically”?) discuss all of these things & more, then writing it down as category “wish-lists”, editing & accounting for your immediate & long-term needs, plans & obligations are might be the BEST way to get a handle on where & how the “Vixens” can maximize your talents, assets & potential. Nothing has to be absolutely accurate or final at this point, but by doing this it gives everyone a better idea of how to approach addressing “needs” & starts to establish a framework for our working together.

In the meantime, I’ll try to work out a break in my schedule where I might be able to come to the Philippines a little earlier than I first mentioned — I can’t promise anything at this point in time, but I will do my best to try & arrange something. Until then, I’ll try to stay in touch & don’t worry if occasionally I’m a little “tardy” in my replies, as “out-of-sight” does NOT mean “out-of-mind”.

Looking forward to your “wish-lists” & reply.

Regards,

Michael

P.S.: I hope you didn’t mind my posting (on your “sharmkee” website) of my second e-mail/reply to you — I thought that since there was nothing “confidential” in anything that I wrote or intended, that maybe I could help dispel any “TOO-good-to-be-true” notions or disbelief that might have greeted my first e-mail/offer to you & the “Ice Vixens”…(!?)

Now, we’re waiting for his reply and hoping that he would consider our team, the Manila Ice Vixens to represent AWSM Ltd., because we know that MIV has the talent, passion, commitment, and the potential in terms of playing Ice Hockey.

Goodluck to the team!

Now I had no idea you play ice hockey. Is it true you guys aren’t allowed to bodycheck each other?

2. sharm - '03/9/07

Hi Rico! I play ice hockey for 6 years now. I just don’t LOOK like a hockey player hehe.. Before, we’re not allowed to body-check because SM doesn’t want to promote violence in ice hockey here. During international tourneys, other teams took advantage because we were too nice and that made our defense down. Now, we’re allowed to check really hard.. woohoo! :)

3. Rico - '03/10/07

Don’t forget to swing your stick! Kidding. :)

5. EDDIE - '11/3/08

Did you get what you want from Mr. Kramer? I am curious. Is this a legitimate transaction. I want to know as he wrote the same letter to us.

@ Hunee and Eddie

He wrote back several times but the proposed letter didn’t happen. He just stopped emailing me. I heard about him from other people too and it seems like he’s writing the same letter and same proposals to different people around the world. Btw, will just PM you the other details. Thanks!

7. sharm - '11/3/08

He called recently and emailed several times about another proposal. It’s about “Inline Hockey Tournament” here in the Philippines. He said he’s coming over this November to discuss the event. We’ll just wait and see.

8. mitch - '11/5/08

just curious, did Mr. Kramer offer you another deal? is it business or voluntary offering? Did you asked help or assisstance from his company?
please keep me updated.

9. sharm - '11/7/08

Hi Mitch! He found my site actually. We didn’t ask anything from him. He just offered sponsorship, help, etc. for my team. Just last month, he emailed and called me about a new proposal. But I’m not sure if it’ll push through.

10. mitch - '11/13/08

Tim Kramer , michael’s twin brother has contacted my team here in the uk about a charity game with them ( Ice pirates) but it seems to good to be true that they are going to fly over to england pay for everything buy our team new jerseys for the event and fly some of our players back from canada for us.
They have said that they have been doing events for 20 odd years but i can’t find anything on them or the celebs that are ment to play for them.

Has anyone got any info on them.

Angela

Your refusal to take down the offending posts are duly noted and ARE being archived for legal action.

To All Here and Sharm in particular –

My name is Michael Kramer, the author of the “sponsorship” letter inquiry — INQUIRY — to Sharm. It’s truly amazing how things get twisted, ‘UN-truthed’ and take on an ‘almost-life’ of their own…to whit –

Some FACTS:

Sharm and the Manila Ice Vixens (MIV) were NEVER — NEVER EVER — ‘promised’ anything. As Sharm herself well knows, she took forever to get back to us with the sponsorship benefits proposal/agreement that when finally delivered had what might be the first-ever (and totally insulting) ‘NO-porno’ clause I’d ever seen in over 25 years of doing business written into it. Needless to say, after waiting far too long for the “proposed letter” (which I was waiting for, NOT Sharm), as well as the thoroughly insulting and NON-professional tone of it, we decided — as we have and HAD the right to — to NOT come to any accord with Sharm and the MIV. I “just stopped emailing” Sharm because after the decision NOT to sponsor the MIV team there was basically nothing to e-mail her for, NOT because I inexplicably ‘disappeared’ like she insinuates.

Let me make one thing VERY clear — I admire ANYONE who takes on the usually THANKLESS job of organizing a team and especially an event. I especially admire Sharm’s efforts with the MIV and am VERY impressed that she (a woman in a very chauvanistic game/country culture) very successfully organized the FIRST-EVER international ice hockey tournament to be held in the Philippines.

But I also will NOT tolerate, as Sharm has already been DULY and SERIOUSLY warned and sent notice of a couple of times now, someone thinking that because she leaves an ‘open e-thread’ on a topic that has been privately resolved with her, that she can somehow ‘insinuate’ some other nefarious or ulterior unstated motive for a sponsorship deal not happening, as well as further fan the ‘flames’ (and internet ‘flamers’) of SERIOUS and INTENDED libel and slander against myself, my brother, our company and employees. Saying you will “PM the details” is essentially a TACIT acknowledgement of your obvious intention to further (but ‘privately’) spew even more of your ultimately provable libel and slander, and it IS being monitored and noted and archived…and CAN be legally subpoenaed.

The “inline” event in the Philippines is very quietly going forward without “Peter”, Sharm, the DOT and anyone else who absurdly claim to “know” what we’re doing there or anywhere else — I’ve learned that certain people and even government officials in the Philippines can’t be trusted to be either ‘timely’, ‘honest’, ‘honorable’ or even greatful that I haven’t sued them to high heaven for their intended ‘flaming’ of libelous and slanderous commentary and effect — and “effect” IS in fact what gets one in VERY HOT and COSTLY legal trouble. That Sharm also obviously doesn’t know or honor the meaning of the word “CONFIDENTIAL” when entrusted with anything sent under its implied and reasonably expected ‘honoring’ is further evidence of her intentions to commit both libel and slander against myself and my company.

Furthermore, the fact that in seeking an international women’s team to carry our company logo/sponsorship, I had (at the time) been “…writing the same letter and same proposals to different people around the world…” is NOT unusual in the international sponsorship/event business, as ANYONE actually IN the international sponsorship event business WILL tell you.

As for Ms. Mcilroy’s totally absurd and UN-true contention that Tim Kramer and our company would “…buy our team new jerseys for the event and fly some of our players back from canada for us…” — an OUTRIGHT LIE — produce the correspondence (which we both know DOESN’T exist) — GEEZ…it’s OUTRAGEOUS the OUTRIGHT LIES one can see fabricated out of thin air…

So Sharm, this is YOUR LAST WARNING — take down these pages in which you are VERY clearly and VERY evidently engaged in libelous and slanderous intent, or face legal action. We “promised” NOTHING to Sharm or the MIV. We “promised” NOTHING to Ms. Mcilroy’s team — indeed we have NEVER EVER even written to Ms. Mcilroy.

YOU ARE HEREBY and DULY WARNED. THRICE-WARNED in fact.

Regards,

Michael Kramer
